How do we enable Customer Type in Advanced UK? It exists in the Advanced Sandbox, albeit that only creates a US version. Why isn't it in the UK version?

This is a fairly fundamental field without which we cannot setup QBO Advanced to handle the data we have been using for years in the Desktop version. It doesn't make sense to have it in the Sandbox and not have it in the live system. Even if the Sandbox is the US version, it also doesn't make sense to have it in there and not in the UK or, I suspect, other country's versions. Please, please, please, switch it on for everyone, Intuit! It's always possible that I am just not seeing it, but I have looked really hard. Without Customer Type we cannot import data into Advanced Online with all of the information we need.

I understand your thoughts about enabling customer types in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced UK version, brv. Let me share more insights about this feature.

 

Currently, setting up customer types is available for QBO US versions. While it's unavailable for QBO UK, you may utilize a third-party tool to group your customers into different segments. Additionally, you may submit a feature request directly to our product developers to notify them about this feature. From there, they can also determine what enhancements and improvements are needed to make our product more effective and convenient for our users. 

 

To start:

 

  1. Click on Feedback from the Gear icon.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. 
  3. Hit Next to proceed.

 

After that, your valuable feedback goes to our Product Development team to help improve your QBO experience. You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
