How I can delete a 'custom tax agency' I have created by mistake?

Hi Lucia, there's currently no way to delete or deactivate a tax agency, the solution would be as per the post above to deactivate the tax codes associated with this agency so that it is not used. 🙂

Welcome back to QuickBooks Community. I'll make sure to provide details on how a custom tax agency works in QuickBooks Online.

 

Currently, there is no way to delete a tax rate or a tax agency in QuickBooks Online. If you no longer need or use them, you can deactivate or rename the tax agency.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. From the left menu, click Taxes.
  2. Select VAT or CIS.
  3. Click the Edit VAT button or Edit CIS depending on the rate you want to modify.
  4. Select Edit rates.
  5. Select On or Off beside the tax rate you want to make active or inactive.

Thanks, but it is NOT a tax code I want to delete or deactivated. 

 

It is an additional 'tax agency' I have created by mistake. 

 

Please see attached screenshot. 

 

Is there any way I could deactivate it, or the only way is for me to call the helpline?
