I find this very confusing when entering the end of day sales are cash and visa card amounts positive or negative entries.

I'll help enter your daily sales with cash and visa card entries in QuickBooks Online.

You're on the right track in creating the chart of accounts to track your daily sales activity. Aside from the accounts, we'll also need to create the items for every type of daily sales.

First, here's how to create a category named Daily Sales to keep every type of daily sales activity in one place:

1. Go to the Gear ⚙ icon.
2. Under Lists, select All Lists.
3. Select Product Categories.
4. At the top right, select New Category.
5. Enter Daily Sales as the name of your new product category.
6. Click Save.

Once done, enter the daily sales type as a new product or service item. Make sure to select your Undeposited Funds account as the Income Account since we're talking about your cash and card entries.
