Question

I need to change the name of a customer's account due to her marriage. Will I lose the data which was present under the unmarried name?

It's tempting just to go in and change the surname on the account. But I would not want to lose the account data under the previous name.

Welcome to the Community page, 

 

Everything will remain in there under that customer nothing will change bar the edited name. You will loss nothing under that customer all that will be different is the name.
