I took out Quick books to help me pay cis tax deductions for a subcontractor I use can you please help guide me on how to do this , I’ve tried for hours with no results

You've made the right choice in using QuickBooks to help you with paying CIS deductions for subcontractors. It's my pleasure to guide you through the whole steps.

To turn this on, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Choose Company Settings.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
   
   
4. Select Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and check the box to Enable CIS. Enter your information.
5. Click Save. Then, Done.
   
   

Once CIS is enabled, QuickBooks tracks deductions from the CIS transactions you created.

In case you haven't added a subcontractor, here's how:

1. Go to Expenses and choose Suppliers.
2. Click Add a supplier or New supplier.
3. Fill in the fields in the Supplier information window and in the CIS Information tab.
4. Click Save.
   
   
   

When you're all set, you can start paying your subcontractors by creating a bill or expense. 

Here's how:

1. Go to the +New icon.
2. Under Suppliers, choose either Bill or Expense.
3. Enter the necessary information. Don't forget to enter the full (gross) amounts for each item. QuickBooks will do the calculations for you.
4. Click Save and close.
