Question

I want to make several template invoices based on one of my templates, with slight variations on each. Can I copy a template to use as a base for these variants?

My thought was to save the job of inputting most of the info repeatedly for each new template

I know creating different templates can be cumbersome, Communityoil. Although, we're unable to copy a template and use it as a base inside QuickBooks Online.

You'll have to create each template one by one. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then go to Custom Form Styles.
  2. Click New style, then select Invoice.
  3. Customise the template, then click Done.

You can also try to create a template using Microsoft Word, then upload it to QuickBooks Online. Once you're done uploading the 1st one, you can use the same Microsoft Word template as a base and make some changes. This way, you won't create a new one from scratch.
