Question

Opened the app today and I seem to have lost 99% of my data? Only have 2 customers showing up, all of my suppliers are gone and only half the expense types are there.

I know it can be difficult when you can't see all your QuickBooks Online data, info1769. I'm here to help you with that.

If you're using the QuickBooks Online mobile application, the stored data may be full. That may be the reason why 99% of your data is missing. To resolve this, let's clear its data. This refreshes the app and eliminates common issues.

Android:

  1. Open the QuickBooks Online app.
  2. Select the menu at the top right and then choose Settings.
  3. Click Refresh Data and choose Yes.

iOS:

  1. Open the QuickBooks Online app.
  2. Select the menu at the top right and then choose Help & Feedback.
  3. Click Refresh Data and Refresh.

Once done, check if you're able to see all the data. Otherwise, I'd suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling the app.

Aside from that, you can also access your QuickBooks Online account via supported browsers

In case you're using a browser, the stored cache can affect the performance of the program. I'd suggest logging in to your QuickBooks Online account via a private window. This is a good place to determine if this is a browser-related issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once logged in, check if all your data is restored. If it does, let's clear the browser's cache. This removes its stored files to ensure the program performs efficiently.

If private browsing doesn't work, I'd recommend using other supported browsers. They'll provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.
