Hello,

I am interested in Using QB.

My business started over a year ago so we have a lot of quotations and invoices generated with google docs from inception to now.

Am I able to upload these past quotes and invoices to QuickBooks along with their correct date which would be before current date?

Thank you

I appreciate you for showing interest in using QuickBooks Online (QBO), ConsoleSolutions and I would be happy to answer your query about uploading your past quotes and invoices into the program.

Uploading your invoices to QBO is possible along with their correct date. However, please know that the option to upload your past quotes is not currently supported in QBO. Thus, you'll need to manually enter the quotes or you can convert them into invoices.

Before importing the transactions, ensure each line entry has an invoice number, customer, invoice date, and other required details. Also, make sure that the column headers in your spreadsheet match with the QuickBooks invoice fields. Here's how:

  1. Map the column headers with the QuickBooks invoice fields. Fields with an asterisk (*) are required.
  2. Choose Not applicable for any fields not in your spreadsheet.
  3. Next to Invoice Date, select the date format you used, like D/M/YYYY.
  4. For the Item Amount field, select Exclusive of tax or Inclusive of tax as your VAT option. To see this option, set up VAT in QuickBooks.
  5. Select Next.
