Hello KD6,

Welcome to the Community - thank you for your question!

Have you set up CIS within your account? Please find attached an article on how to do this if you are unsure: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/CIS-in-QuickBooks/m-p/239830?advanced=false&collapse_discussion=true&filter=location&location=category:community-uk&q=cis&search_type=thread

Once you have set this up, you should be able to set up a subcontractor. The article also talks you through how to apply CIS to your transactions.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

Talia
