Why is quickbooks not recognising the customer has a credit balance and offset it against next payment?

Credit balance is not taken into account when customer pays a reduced amount to compensate for credit

Hello Lynnevolve, thanks for posting on the community page, have you go the setting turned on for automatically apply credit, you can check by going to the main cog wheel> account and settings> advanced> automation> automatically apply credits> toggle this on>save > done
