I have a dymo printer 550 and it works great to use to print from Quick Books. However, its not wanting to print the way the label is set up. Is there anyway i can change those settings?

Hello,

First, check the printer settings in QuickBooks by going to File -> Printer Setup and selecting the label type you're using. Make sure the paper size and layout match your label dimensions.

If the issue persists, adjust the settings in the Dymo Label Software by selecting the correct label size and ensuring the scaling is set to 100%.

You can also try printing a test label directly from the Dymo software to confirm if the problem is with QuickBooks or the printer settings. If needed, reinstall the printer driver from the Dymo website to reset configurations.

Hi Daryl.

It's important to start by checking the printer settings to ensure you've set up it correctly in QuickBooks. Let me walk you through the process.

As per @Elijah, we can review your current printing setup to ensure the appropriate display of the labels. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the File menu and select Print Forms
  2. Choose Labels.

  3. Under Item Barcodes, select the item with the barcode you want to print and then click OK.
  4. Check the layout you want to print.
  5. Click Print.

After that, test the printer’s setup you've made by following the steps below:

  1. Turn off your printer, restart your computer, then turn the printer back on.
  2. Check that the paper is loaded correctly in the printer.
  3. Click Start on your computer, go to Control Panel, and open Printers and Faxes.
  4. If your printer is listed as Offline, right-click on it and choose Use Printer Online.
  5. Open the printer queue by double-clicking the printer. If any documents are waiting, click on Printer and choose Cancel All Documents.
  6. Close the printer queue window.
  7. Right-click on the printer again, select Properties, and then click Print Test Page to see if it's working correctly now.
