I would like to see what transactions on my Profit & Loss have not been assigned a Tag. Is there a way to view all "untagged" transactions?

Hi @Kevin 2, I'll help generate your report.

In QuickBooks Online, you can pull up and customize the Profit and Loss by Tag Group report to show a list of untagged transactions. I'll show you how.

  1. Access the Profit and Loss by Tag Group report.
  2. Go to Customize.
  3. Under Columns, select Total Only.
  4. On the Filter menu, select Tags.
  5. For the Tags menu, choose Not Specified.
  6. Click Run Report.

Once done, select the amount in each account to open a detailed report showing your untagged transactions. I'm adding this article to learn more about how you can customize a report: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Online.

You may also read this reference to save the customization on a custom report and preserve the changes made: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks so much. I'm try to accept as the solution but I keep getting an error.

I'm happy it worked well, @Kevin 2!

Now for the error message, we may need to perform a few browser troubleshooting steps to get rid of it.

To begin with, let's consider logging in to your Community profile using a private browser. To use a private or incognito browser, here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P
  • Edge: Ctrl Shift + N

If this works, it means you need to clear your browser's cache so the system can start fresh and you're now able to mark this post as solved. But if you get the same result while using a private browser, let's switch to different supported browsers instead.

Also, the Community page provides the articles you can use to keep your business growing in QuickBooks. Use this link and click on the More Topics button for all the references you need: Browse all Articles for your QuickBooks Product.

If there's anything else that I can help you with aside from this one, please let me know using the Reply option below. Have a good one!
