What happened to the SMS Text Messaging Feature?

For almost a year I was able to send invoices using SMS Texting, now it is gone and Everywhere I look it shows QB doesn't offer SMS Text Messaging.Did anyone else use this feature? What happened to it?

I learned it was called the Text Your Customer for Payment feature. It used to appear on the invoice review page.

Sending invoices through text messages provides your customers with an easier way to make payments, trobertson. I’d love to explain the recent changes to the SMS text messaging feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

If you're using the old invoice layout, you can easily send invoices directly through SMS. However, for users who are using the new invoice layout, you can still send an invoice via text by sharing the invoice link.

 

Here's what you'll need to do:

 

  1. On the invoice screen, locate the drop-down arrow next to the Review and send button.
  2. Select the Share link option. 
  3. Click the Copy link button.
  4. Send the invoice link via SMS outside QBO.

The option to send directly from QuickBooks is no longer available, which is very disappointing. Having to copy the message and send it manually feels far less professional than sending it directly through QuickBooks. Is there a way to restore the original functionality?
