Question

2 of client employees were historically paid MONTHLY, but changing to BW. So I need to somehow pay them from April 1 to -20th (reg BW is being paid Apr 7-20)

How do I create this one time pay period and then can continue on the BW pay schedule? They are salary employees

Thanks for reaching out about your employees. QuickBooks Onlne is a great tool able to help you pay your employees for their hours worked. I can provide some information about pay periods.

 

Within QuickBooks Online Payroll, the only option for Pay periods are Every week, Every other week, Twice a month or Every month. there isn't the option to pay for specific pay periods of 19 or 20 days. you may have to create a pay periord with a little bit of overlap while entering the correct hours and amounts for the pay periods wanted. I can see that this ability to create a pay run these pay periods specifically would be a feature that you'd like to see in the software. I recommend leaving feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear Icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration when designing new features for QuickBooks Online.
