Advanced Payroll

Having read the materials online for the Canadian version of Quickbooks Online Advanced Payroll, it seems I am not able to print checks for payroll, but when I asked support, I was told this was possible.

 

Can I get a definitive answer?

 

 

I called in and it was confirmed, Advance payroll's primary payment method is intended to be direct deposit, and it's hard (though not impossible) to print paper checks.

You'll love all the features that come with it, and how much time it saves you when you're running payroll. QuickBooks offers two payroll platforms: Standard Payroll and Advanced Payroll. I'll help clear things up for you regarding printing pay cheques from QBO with Advanced Payroll. 

 

Advanced Payroll does not give you the option to print pay cheques directly from the system. With Advanced Payroll, you're encouraged to use the direct deposit service, but you don't have to if you'd prefer to issue paper cheques outside the program. 

With Standard Payroll, you can print pay cheques directly from your QBO account.
