Are you able to use QBO payroll without a business bank account, client currently uses a personal account for all banking transactions.

Client would like to use QBO to setup direct deposit for employees and contractors however they do not have a business bank account, only a personal account.

It's great to have you connect with us in the Community. QuickBooks is a robust program that enables you to manage your business with peace of mind. I'll be glad to share more info about setting up Direct Deposit so you're on the right track. 

 

The program allows you to set up payroll direct deposit using your personal bank account. In case you haven't set up  direct deposit yet, I encourage you to follow the steps below as they show you how to do this:

 

1. To get started, make sure the employee has completed the Direct Deposit Authorization Form.
2. Select Payroll, then Employees on the left-side navigation bar.
3. Select the employee that you would like to set up for direct deposit.
4. Edit the Payment method and select Direct Deposit from the drop-down menu.
5. Complete the fields using the information from the employee's authorization form.
6. Select Save
