Can I cancel the payroll direct deposit and issue cheques?

I processed payroll and see that it is going to be deposited a day late (I didn't realize the date!). Can I cancel the direct deposit and issue cheques? Today is the 19th and pay day is 21st.

It's nice to see you in Community.  Welcome!  I can understand the concern around holiday schedules, when you need to pay your staff on time.  With QuickBooks Online Payroll, direct deposit must be submitted by the required lead time.  Once direct deposit has been processed, it can't be stopped, delayed, or rescheduled.  However, in your situation, I encourage you to contact our QuickBooks Online Payroll specialists as soon as possible, at 1-855-253-1536 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM ES.  They will be able to gather the required information, and verify the status of your direct deposit, in order to provide you with the necessary steps to pay your staff as scheduled.
