Can I change the date of payment after running payroll i accidentally had the wrong day in

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online Payroll enables you to pay your staff with confidence.  However, all information including the pay schedule and pay date must be accurate, to ensure your staff is paid on time.  I'd be happy to provide some guidance here!

If you're currently running payroll as a paper cheque, you can delete the pay cheques and run payroll again, ensuring the correct dates are entered.  However, if you've set up direct deposit, you'll need to contact us outside of Community, so we can look further into your situation, and make the necessary changes from our end.

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
