Can I pay the Jan 1 stat holiday on my payroll today Jan 3/22

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks offers a dynamic payroll module for paying your staff effortlessly.  In order to apply holiday pay to an employee, you'll want to ensure they're set up correctly.  I'll be glad to assist!

Here's how to turn on statutory holiday pay:

1. Select Payroll from the left menu and then Employees

2. Choose the employee by clicking on their name

3. Click the Edit ✎ next to Pay

4. Scroll to question 4 (how much do you pay) and select the Edit ✎

5. Checkmark the box next to Stat holiday pay

6. Repeat the steps for each employee

When you run payroll, you'll enter the applicable hours for each employee in the column for statutory holiday pay.
