Can I run bonus cheques for the full amount of the bonus and then take the deductions from the next pay period?

Welcome to Community!  It's great that you'd like to provide a bonus to your staff.  QuickBooks Online Payroll provides many options for paying your employees.  However, it's not advisable to provide a tax free bonus and then apply the deductions to an upcoming pay period.  This can have a negative impact on the T4's.
