It's great to have you here in the community, @yzel-p-macato-gm.

Yes, you can transfer clients from a sample company to the actual QuickBooks company file. All you need to do is export the clients from the sample file and manually import it to the QB company.

To export clients, see this link for the steps: Export customer data to Excel. Make sure to save the spreadsheet as an XLS or an XLSX file and note where you save it. Make sure you follow the format from this sample file.

Once you've exported the file and corrected the format, you can now import the data to QuickBooks Online.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙. Then select Import Data.
  2. Click on Customers.
  3. Press Browse to upload the file.
  4. Select the file, and then Open.
  5. Tap Next.
  6. In the Your Field column, select each small arrow ▼ icon. Then, match your field to the corresponding QuickBooks Online field.
  7. Choose No Match if you have a field that doesn't have a matching column in your spreadsheet.
  8. Review your contacts. Uncheck any that you don't want to save.
  9. If everything looks good, select Import.
