Can vacation pay be paid out on a separate cheque from regular scheduled payroll?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online Payroll is a dynamic way to pay your staff with confidence.  Performing vacation payout can be done seamlessly.  I'd be glad to assist!

 

to enable accrued vacation payout, you'll need to edit the employee.  Here's how;

 

1. From the left menu, open Payroll, then Employees

2. Select the employee

3. Scroll down to the Pay Types and hit Edit

4. Checkmark the box for Accrued Vacation Payout

5. When you run payroll for the employee, enter the Accrued vacation payout amount

6. Hit Preview payroll.
