Can we enter a missed pay period from the previous month when setting up payroll

I'm setting up QBO payroll this month but I need to pay my employees for last month.  Can this be done in QBO

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. The program provides a powerful payroll module that simplifies the way you pay your staff. I'll be happy to share more info and help steer you in the right direction. 

 

QuickBooks provides you with the option to enter prior payroll info on your account when you initially set up payroll. In case you've already ran payroll, you'd need to enter the prior periods using a Pay Edits template. This template allows you to enter your YTD info and you'll have to contact our support team for further assistance. Here's how: 

 

  • Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat. Support is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
