Direct deposit unsuccessful because account is unknown?

Hi finance-dament-o,

 

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online is a dynamic cloud based accounting software with the flexibility you need to work from anywhere at any time.  I can see how concerning it would be when a direct deposit isn't completed.  I'll be happy to assist!

 

Once you gather the correct bank information from your employee, you can make the necessary changes by following these steps:

 

1. Select Payroll and then Employees from the left menu

2. Open the Employee and then Edit employee

3. Scroll down to the section that reads 'How do you want to pay xxx '

4. Click the Edit ✎ and make the necessary changes

5. When finished hit OK

Note: You can pay the employee by cheque for the failed deposit by going to Run payroll > change Direct deposit to Cheque.
