Employee portal setup for canadian desktop version, do I need to have an external payroll service before I can do this?

At this time, QuickBooks Desktop doesn't offer the ability to have your employees access their paystubs through an online portal. The current workaround would be inviting your employees as users to your account so they can view the paystubs and potentially other info.
