Hi There; We'd like to set up different departments to track revenue and expenses and payroll by department such as Electrician Dep. Carpentry Dep. Can QB be able to do?

Thanks for your info, Do you know how much is the Plus and Advanced Versions? Can we update project-based QB version to that version?

The Plus and Advanced versions can use Class Tracking for your departments.

Hi ap13,

 

Of the two plans that john-pero mentioned, Canada has the QuickBooks Online Plus option and it currently sits at $40 per month. You can check our Plans & Pricing page to see current rates and discounts for all QuickBooks Online Canada packages. QuickBooks Self-Employed is also listed on the page, but it's a separate product from QuickBooks Online.

 

I also agree that class tracking will be a great solution for you here. Class tracking will allow you to create different classes and then internally mark your transactions for easier filtering in report. Learn more about it here: How to set up and use class and location tracking
