How can I add a $0.02 per hour deduction

Welcome to Community!  In QuickBooks Online Payroll, you can add deductions to your employees in a few simple steps.  I'd be happy to help!

 

Follow these steps to set up the deduction for a new employee;

 

1. Open Payroll, Employees and then Add an employee

2. Select Start on the Deductions & contributions field
3. Click on Add deduction/contribution
4. Choose a Deduction type from the dropdown list, or to create a new one, choose New deduction
5. Enter Flat amount in the Calculated as field and enter the Amount per paycheque
6. Enter an Annual maximum (optional)
7.  Hit Save

 

Here's how to add a deduction for an existing employee;
 

1. Go to the Employees, and then select the employee you want to edit

2. Select Edit to the right of Deductions & contributions 
3. Click on the Edit ✎ next to the deduction 
4. Make the necessary changes and hit Done to save
