Question

How can I edit payroll taxes owing for a period where we didn't use QB payroll?

We did not start using QB Payroll until Jan 2023. It created  what looks like what we owe for federal taxes from Oct 1 2022- Dec 31, 2022. So now it won't let me pay for the current owing taxes.

Based on what you've described above, you'll need to enter the timesheets using a Pay Edits template. This template allows you to enter your payroll info and you'll have to contact our support team for further assistance. Here's how: 

 

  • Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat. Support is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
  • Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
