How can I turn off direct deposit notifications from a client who is inactive?

Don't worry, we'll help you figure this out. With a few more details, I'm confident we can get to the bottom of this and stop you from receiving the notifications for your inactive client's direct deposit. It sounds like you may be a QuickBooks Online Accountant user who was at one point attached to your client's billing, but you're not anymore. If that's the case, your email may simply need to be detached from the account using the direct deposit. That's something we need to take care of on our back end.
