How do deduct shareholder loan balance from a pay cheque?
The owner of the company draws a monthly salary and would like to apply the payroll cheque amount against the Shareholder Loan. Thereby receiving a zero (0) dollar cheque and reducing the shareholder loan balance by the net amount of the cheque.
How do I set up a deduction to be applied against Shareholder loan on pay cheques? Is this possible?
I have tried setting up payroll item deduction calling it SH PR deduction and linking it to shareholder account (other liabilities) but when I go to pay payroll liabilities the amount shows up in pay liabilities list.
Suggestions?
