How do I add and employee who is in the system as s supplier? It asks me to put in a different name as this name already exists... thank you!

Welcome to the Community! Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online is a great software that can help manage your business with peace of mind. I would be happy to provide some information.

In QuickBooks Online, there isn't the option to use a supplier and employee with the same name. However, you can simply change the suppliers name by adding a middle initial or a number at the end of their name. To edit a suppliers name, head to Get paid & pay, then select the supplier in question. Click on Edit at the top right of the page. Enter the letter or number of your choice. Next click on the drop down arrow beside Supplier display name  and select the name you have just created. Click save.
