How do I add previous years payroll? I am Trying to redo a companies books that are a complete mess and I need it to be way easier than journal entries.

Hi caseyfarrah76-gm.

 

Entering your previous years payroll is a great way to have all your information in one place. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction for this. 

 

Currently the system only lets you add the year to date payroll information when creating a new employee. Making sure the previous years of payroll are entered and tracked to the right accounts is best done using Journal entries. You can also reach out to your accountant to see if there are other ways to possibly add this information. If you don't have an accountant you can find one in your area by going to My Accountant>Find a pro to help.
