How do I average an employee's CPP deduction so it is the same amount for every pay? Instead of maxing out..

Hey there larry-momentumit,

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! Thanks for reaching out to us here. Making sure the correct amount of CPP being taken off your employees pay cheques is important. At this time, there isn't a way to change the amount for CPP. CPP is calculated in accordance with government guidelines. I can see how being able to change the amount would be beneficial for you. I recommend leaving feedback by heading to the Gear icon and selecting the Feedback option. These comments are viewed and considered by our developers as they create new features and updates for QuickBooks,

Yeah, Sorry but that would go against the rules for CPP Deductions, I wouldn't advise it. Have a quick read of this CRA article to understand why.

Calculating CPP contributions - Canada.ca

You could take additional taxes off once they max CPP to give an even net amount but the employee may rather keep the money, you'd have to get it in writing before making any changes of course.

Hope this helps !
