How do I cancel a paycheck? Is it through void or delete?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online Payroll is a dynamic way to ensure your employees are paid on time.  When situations arise and a pay cheque needs to be deleted, we have the versatility you need to complete your QuickBooks goals.  I'll be happy to help!

 

Before continuing through the process, please be advised that once you've deleted a pay cheque, it can't be undone.  You'll need to recreate it if it was deleted in error.  When you're all set and ready to go, follow these steps:

 

1. Open Payroll and select Employees 

2. Below the Run payroll button, select Pay cheque list

3. Locate the cheque and click Delete

4. When prompted to confirm the action, hit Yes

Note; If you need to delete an older pay cheque, you'll have to delete them in order working backwards from the most recent.  Here's a helpful guide for your reference.
