Hi SLBolt,

It's nice to hear from you. QuickBooks Online has a hearty payroll module that allows for account mapping to be changed easily. I can help you change your bank account in your payroll preferences.

To map your payroll to pay from a different bank account, follow these easy steps:

  1. Go the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Payroll Settings.
  3. Under Preferences, choose Accounting.
  4. In the bank account dropdown, choose the correct account, and click OK.
  5. A message will ask if you want to update existing transactions and add the date you wish to update the transactions from. Click OK.

If you're looking for more details on payroll mapping, you can review this article: Payroll preferences.

If it's only one run, the only way to make the change would be to delete the pay run and recreate it. Keep in mind that only the last paycheque can be deleted within the program, and if it was run through direct deposit, you can't make any changes to the pay run. To review the process, check out this article: How to delete a paycheque.

I'll be here if you need a helping hand. Have a marvellous weekend!
