How do I change the payroll tax filing frequency to monthly in QBO?

If you'd like to change the filing frequency for your business, you'll have to get permission from the Canada Revenue Agency. Visit Canada.ca to learn more.

Once your business has received permission, follow the steps below to change your filing frequency in QuickBooks Online.

Change filing frequency

Note: Your filing frequency can differ between your federal and provincial return. Make sure you're editing the right filing frequency.

1.     Select Taxes from the left menu.
2.     Select Sales Tax at the top.
3.     Click on Manage Sales.
4.     On that page, click the drop-down arrow beside Add Rate.
5.     Select Edit Agency Settings.
