How do I correct previous payroll liability period?

Thanks for reaching out about your previous payroll liability payments. Quickbooks Online Payroll is a great tool able to assist you in keeping track of payroll deductions and contributions made on payroll so that you know the amount to declare. I can provide some information about editing deductions.

As the payroll liabilities owed are a total of the deductions and contributions on pay runs in the period, so in order to adjust the amount owed, a payroll edits request would need to be made for the paycheques where there is an amount that needs to be changed. To start a pay edits request, you would need to reach out to the QuickBooks Payroll support team outside of the Community. It's important that you're provided the correct information to reach out to support to avoid scams, and using the support information provided by a member of the Community with either the Moderator or QuickBooks Team under their name, You can reach them using the methods outlined below:

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
