Question

How do I fix the accidentally making LOA a taxable earning back to a non-taxable earning? Or how would I reimburse that to my employees after the taxes have been deducted

I have paid out 2 cheques to my employees and realized on the 3rd pay period their living allowance was being taxed. So I changed it to a non-taxable earning and noticed the taxes deducted off where a decent amount less. Can I change that?

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this pay stub concern in QuickBooks, @Ddkohl12.

If you need to edit a paystub for a payroll you already created, you need to delete and recreate it to update the information. Do the following steps if you created regular paycheques:

  1. Go to Employees.
  2. Under the Run payroll button, select Pay cheque list.
  3. Select the cheque to delete and click Delete.
  4. When prompted to confirm the action, select Yes or No.

If you processed a Direct Deposit transaction, you need to check the status if it's not yet offloaded. We can no longer edit a Direct Deposit transaction once it's processed. I'm adding a few links to help you out with the process.

If payroll is already processed and received, you will need to contact our Support Team for a payroll correction. Our team are available from Mon-Fri 8 AM - 9 PM ET and Sat 9 AM - 6 PM ET. Here's how to contact us:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Enter your query in Type something field.
  4. Select Contact Us.
  5. Enter your concern, then select Continue.
  6. Choose a way to connect with us:
