How do I make an employee provincial tax exempt? There is a box for federal tax exempt but not provincial.

Thanks for reaching out in the Community! QuickBooks Online Payroll is a dynamic way to pay your staff with confidence.  Ensuring your employee's are set up accurately is essential in keeping up with government guidelines.  I'd be happy to give you some insight on provincial tax exemptions.

 

Currently, the option to check off exemption for provincial taxes in the employee profile is unavailable. However, you can manually adjust the provincial amounts when running payroll. I encourage you to submit feedback for this, for our engineers to look into. The more users take advantage of the option to submit feedback, the faster we can get around to our product developers that are pushing through the envelope to improve the product to meet your needs. If you're interested in submitting feedback, here are those steps to follow:

 

1. Navigate to the Assistant in the upper right corner.
2. Type the word feedback and hit Enter.
3. Follow the prompts to submit feedback.
 

I'll also update you in this thread if I hear any changes of the option that you're looking for.
