How do I rehire an employee in QB desktop? I have issued an ROE and I can't give them their vacation pay.

Being able to pay out an employees vacation pay and set up an ROE when they move on is one of many things you can do in QuickBooks Desktop's payroll add on. I'd be happy to help you with getting your employees vacation pay paid out.

 

If you want to rehire them just to payout their vacation pay you can remove the release date and ROE code to set them back up as hired. To do this you just need to go to: Employees>Employee center>Select the employee>Employment Information. From there you can run the payroll for the vacation pay. If you already filed your ROE with the CRA you'll need to let them know and file a new ROE for the employee.
