Based on what you're looking to accomplish, here's how to make an employee EI and CPP exempt:

  1. From your left menu click on Payroll Employees from the left menu
  2. Click on the employee you wish to edit
  3. Navigate to the Edit icon next to Pay
  4. Select the edit icon next to the section #1
  5. Select Tax exemptions
  6. Check the boxes next to Employment Insurance (EI) and CPP.
  7. Select Done twice.
