How do I setup automatic payments for payroll taxes?

Making sure you're up to date on your payroll liability payments is important so that you pay the amount owed to the government on time. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool that's able to calculate deductions and contributions on payroll and add them all up so you know how much money is owed to the government. I can provide some information about payroll liability payments and QuickBooks Online Payroll.

While QuickBooks Online Payroll has the ability to calculate and show you the amount owed to the government, there isn't the option to directly pay the government from within QuickBooks Online. You can find the amounts owed to the government by navigating to the Taxes tab, then Payroll tax. The amount owed to each government will be shown in the Upcoming tax payments list. The payment itself will need to be made outside of QuickBooks Online on government sites or through your financial institution.
