Hi corin-comisky,

It's great to see that you're making use of the Sales Tax module in QuickBooks Online. This is a great way to make sure that your figures are accurate and give you confidence when filing with the government. I also know that sometimes there are changes that need to be made, and I can share with you how to undo a sales tax filing in the software.

QuickBooks Online gives you the tools and steps you need to file sales tax and record payments or refunds. When it comes to undoing a filing, those tools are left in the hands of accountant users and the QuickBooks Online tech support team.

Accountant users have the option to follow the steps in the community article How do I un-file a sales tax return?, so if you already have an accountant you're working with, feel free to share those details with them. First it'll mean making sure your accountant is a user on your account, which you can do using the My Accountant tab. There's an email invite field or, for those who don't already have an accountant they're working with, there's the Find a pro to help button. This connects you to our database of QuickBooks-certified accountants near you.

If you'd like to work with support instead, get in touch using one of the following options and the team member you connect with will let you know what we need to help you out.

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.

Social MediaFacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
Support hours are from Monday to Friday between 9a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

It's a fairly quick process, so don't hesitate to reach out as soon as you have a moment. We're here for you!
