Thanks for reaching out to us here in the Community. I'll help explain how you can set up a reimbursement in QuickBooks Online.

 

It's important to be able to record a transaction such as paying your employee back for a business-related expense. If they use their personal funds to pay a business expense, you can pay them now or record the expense first and pay them later. 

 

Take a look at this helpful Community article for steps on how to reimburse an employee: Reimbursements. This article will guide you through how to pay your employee now, or how to record the expense for future payments. It also explains how to check your employee reimbursements to see how much you still owe.  

 

If you need to reimburse a contractor, make sure they're set up as a supplier. Then, create a bill for that supplier and pay it.
