How to enter opening balances for employees in QB online payroll

And when setting up it asked for Vacation balance but then posted on the date I entered it. I want it to be a carry forward from Dec 31

I also have other opening balances at the beginning of calendar year.  No where have I found where I can enter opening balances for an emp except the vacation which did not allow for proper posting date
