How to record federal tax on quickbook

federal carbon tax started on April, the tax rate is 17%, however, it doesn't exist on quickbook.

You will have to manage this manually, a liability account for tax due, and a service item named the same that links to it, put 0.17 in the rate block

 

on the invoice use that item and put the **amount** to be taxed in the qty block
