How do you set up the new CRA information codes for reporting of COVID-19 pay periods?

Hello ACDC,

 

It's great that you're already looking ahead for how to manage your payroll details in QuickBooks Desktop due to the new information sent out by the CRA to account for the pandemic. I have a feeling you're referring to the CRA's New T4 reporting requirements, which mentions new codes to consider when filling out year-end forms. I'll go over this with you.

 

QuickBooks Desktop's product development team works closely with the CRA to determine what those running payroll need for accurate reporting. All throughout this year, our goal has been to keep you on track with the many changes that have come about. The same is true for these new codes as well.

 

At this time, we don't have updates on how these codes will be implemented into the program or how you can configure them yourself if needed. The priority is to have this information available for you as soon as possible as we know how much of a difference prep time can make in these situations.
