Hi there,

I'm so happy to hear that you've subscribed to QuickBooks Online Payroll! Including a payroll service with the rest of your accounting records is going to help streamline your bookkeeping to keep you organized. I'd be happy to shed some light on the set-up process to make sure you're able to run payroll.

There's a few things to keep in mind. Firstly, you'll want to make sure all of your employees are set up correctly, and that their TD1 form is completed. To add an employee, just click the Employees tab on the left navigation menu, and click Add an employee

Secondly, ensure all the steps have been completed to finish setting up payroll. You can review those steps here: Payroll tutorial: How to turn on and set up payroll. This article is a great resource when you first start using payroll, as it explains how to set up company payroll tax information, set up pay schedules, set your payroll preferences, etc.

Additionally, make sure you're following all the correct steps to run your first payroll run. Take a look at those instructions here: How to run payroll .

The last thing to keep in mind is the timeline to verify your account if you're setting up Direct Deposit. Since Direct Deposit includes money movement, the process can take a bit more time to complete to ensure all of your information is correct and validated in our system. Here's an article that explains the set-up process for Direct Deposit: How to set up payroll direct deposit. There's a few more steps involved that you'll need to complete in order to run payroll this way.

If you're still running into issues running payroll after following all of the steps above, please let me know. I'm here to help.

Cheers!
