I am trying to add my employees for the first time , QB online , does not let me put hire date, and how much do you pay so far this year . its frustrating

This certainly isn't how we want your experience to be. QuickBooks Online Payroll is meant to make paying your employees easy, it is a computer program, and occasionally you may hit a snag. This may be as simple as needing to clear your cache and cookies, and I can explain how.

 

Every time you open a web page, your computer downloads cookies into your cache to help the site run better. Eventually, it gets full and needs to be emptied, or it disrupts communication in internet-based programs like QuickBooks Online.

 

Here are the steps to troubleshoot your browser:

As you go through these steps, you may have to log out or log back into your QuickBooks account and try entering your employee information again. If you're still experiencing the issue, please reach out to a support agent, as it may need to be escalated. A support agent will get all the case-specific information and begin the escalation process.
