Question

I approved my payroll couple of hours ago and I want to edit one of the hours . is it possible?

It's nice to see you in Community.  Welcome!  I can understand the concern when the employee hours need to be adjusted.  QuickBooks Online Payroll enables you to delete the current pay cheque, then run payroll for the employee again, to ensure they're paid accurately.  However, with the upcoming holiday and associated bank closures, a delay in bank processing times is expected.  For this reason, you may prefer to make the necessary adjustments for the employee, then run payroll as a paper cheque.  This will provide the information you need to send the employee an e-transfer, and ensure they're paid on time. Follow these steps to delete the current paycheque;

 

1. Open Payroll and select Employees

2. Under the Run payroll button, select Paycheque list

3. Select the cheque to remove/cancel and click Delete

4. When prompted to confirm the action, select Yes.

You're all set, and ready to run payroll for the employee.
